2018 Program

TERM 1
Week 10: Thursday 5 - Friday 6 April
Mentor Camp, Monarto Zoo (YEC Mentors only)

An opportunity for Mentors to develop mentoring and facilitation skills and assist with YEC event planning. 

TERM 2
Week 1: Thursday 3 May
Sustainability Forum (9.30am-2.30pm)

An opportunity for like minded students across the state to share, learn and be inspired about sustainability.

Week 4: Monday 21  - Wednesday 23 May
Two night Leadership Camp, Arbury Park Outdoor School
  • Join in fun team building exercises and activities to develop your leadership skills.
  • Develop skills and knowledge on environmental and sustainability themes and ways to take action.
  • Work with other like-minded students to research areas of interest and develop a plan of action.

TERM 4
Week 3: Thursday 1 November
YEC Sharing and Celebration Forum (9.30am-2.30pm).
Cleland Wildlife Park

Share your environmental achievements for 2018, put your skills into practice, celebrate achievements, and take some actions as a group.

Online discussion forum: to be used throughout the year from the first event to the last event.

The Youth Environment Council (YEC) of South Australia provides young people a voice in key environmental issues facing South Australia and gives them opportunities to take action to achieve a more environmentally sustainable future for SA.​
