Each year, the YEC has a limited number of places available. Students from regional areas are encouraged to apply. You can download our promotional flyer here.
Applications now open until 5pm on Wednesday 17 March 2021
- be in years 7-11
- have permission from a parent/guardian
- have endorsement from a supportive teacher or principal (e.g. the schools needs to be comfortable with you representing them)
- understand the expectations of the role of a member and agree to these.
As a member of the YEC you will be expected to:
- travel to camps, workshops and forums. These are fully funded. (Travel subsidy provided to rural students)
- actively participate in discussions, activities and workshops throughout the year
- keep in contact through email, the website, face to face events and organised online workshops
- be willing to represent your school and the State in a responsible manner: the same rules of respect and good behaviour that apply at school will apply during all YEC activities.
